Each year, children in Year 5 and 6 participate in the MAEI (Manchester Arts and Education Initiative.) The aim of the projects is to develop teachers’ and pupils’ skills in drama dance music and visual art through INSET for teachers and work directly with pupils. Please click on the MAEI link, on the left, for information on past performances.

Children in Years 4,5,6 enrich their musical skills by participating in a Network Choir and Young Voices. Please click on the Young Voices link, on the left, for further information.

Each term, all children in Years 1-6 come off timetable for three afternoons and participate in Mixed Curriculum activities. This gives the children opportunities to practise different skills and try something new! Please click on the Mixed Curriculum link, on the left, for the range of activities that children have been involved in.

We believe it’s important that children involve themselves in the wider community through various events and raising money for various charities. Please click on the Crab Lane Helping Communities link, on the left, for more information.
