Crab Lane Sport

Well done to our INSPIRE team today who came 2nd in the City-wide Basketball finals. Crab Lane earned their spot after winning the North Manchester competition and did us all very proud. We were invited to the national Basketball performance centre - home of Team GB to compete. 2nd in the whole of Manchester, fantastic work!

Well done to our Dodgeball team who went to the Co-op Academy and managed an amazing 3rd in their competition.

We transformed the upstairs hall into
our very own Volta arena ready for ourintra-school hockey tournament!
Years 3-6 competed in teams with some amazing hockey skills on show.

Another fantastic event for Crab Lane as we headed to Our Lady’s RCHS for the indoor athletics tournament. A very well attended event across Greater Manchester and an opportunity for our young athletes to do our school proud. Which they did!

Crab Lane were very lucky on Friday, when we were visited by Mark from the Tennis centre. He did some fantastic coaching with Years 1 and 2 with some great links to anti-bullying week.

Thanks Mark and well done 1 & 2!

Our tennis team travelled to Abraham Moss this week to compete in the North tennis finals. An amazing competition well attended and some fantastic results for Crab Lane. Winning all but one of their games. Amazing stuff!

A massive congratulations to our Year 5 basketball team who went to Our Lady’s for a tournament, winning the whole event!

Fantastic and a huge well done to everyone!

Our Year 3/4 Football team once again headed to Manchester United’s tracking facility “The Cliff” to compete. They did amazingly well, winning the majority of their games.

Well done boys!

Our Year 3/4 football team has been chosen and headed off to their first tournament of many this year. Held at the infamous “Cliff” training ground. The boys thoroughly enjoyed walking in the shadows of their heroes and played some fantastic football.

This week, three teams from Crab Lane visited our partner school Crumpsall Lane to compete at Basketball. Some fantastic games from both schools braving the elements!

We are looking forward to some more competition between schools in the future!
