Hello!! My name is Miss Riley and I am a teacher in Reception. I have been at Crab Lane for 3 years now and have had the privilege of working with lots of the amazing children we have here. I am a huge advocate of play-based learning and love spending time in our fantastic outdoor learning environment. When I am not teaching I like spending my time travelling to new places, cooking (and eating!) tasty food and spending lots of time with my family and friends.
Hello to the new Reception L class!
My name is Miss Yates and I teach in Reception alongside Miss Crew and the rest of the lovely Reception team.
I have been a teacher at Crab Lane for 5 years now, first in Nursery and now in Reception. I absolutely love being an early years teacher at Crab Lane, we have so much fun every day!
When I’m not in school, I enjoy to spend as much time as possible with my friends and family, especially trying out new restaurants and going on sunny holidays. I also love to spend time with my family dog, Caesar! He is an English Bulldog that loves to give cuddles and sloppy kisses!
I am so excited to get to know you all and be your teacher in Reception! I hope you all have a fantastic summer and I will see you all very soon.
If you would like to contact me over the holidays, please use the following email address. Perhaps you could send me some information all about you?
Keep smiling, see you soon!
Miss Yates :)
Hi children, my name is Mrs Walker. I have worked at Crab Lane for eight years, I started in Nursery and then moved to Reception, but I am currently one of the Year One class teachers. Mr Moss and I love working in Year One and we are really looking forward to starting a new term in September. I have a little girl, her name is Ada and she is two. She is starting pre-school in September so it is big changes in our house too! In my spare time I like to meet up with friends, go out for lovely food and most of all take Ada to new, exciting places!
I cannot wait to hear all about you, see you soon!
My name is Miss Molloy and I will be your new teacher in September. I am so excited to meet you all and have been very busy getting the classroom ready for your arrival. See you soon.
Love Miss Molloy xxx

See you all soon
Love Mrs Brannan xxx
I'm Miss Davidge and I work in Year 2C with Miss Ryan, we are a great team! We love teaching and getting to know everyone! I have been teaching here for 8 years and really enjoy it!
In my spare time, I like to go for walks in the countryside and love to go shopping with Mrs White! I also enjoy doing craft activities with my friends! Here is my most recent hobby....cross-stitch!
My favourite colour is yellow because it reminds me of the sunshine!
I can't wait to share more things with you in September! If you want to share anything, you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, so I can learn a bit more about you!
We have lots to look forward to and I hope you’re excited as I am for next year! :)

In the last few weeks of term, there will be some transition work put on the class blog that I'd love you to complete and bring with you in September. It'll help me find out more about you all. Mr. Thompson :)
I’m so excited to get back to school and get into the swing of things in our brand new classroom! Me and Miss Byrne are working hard to make sure everything looks nice and ready for September.
As we can’t have our usual transition-y activities, I thought I’d share with you a few facts about myself…
I’m from Yorkshire originally, and I grew up next to a farm.
I still love all things to do with the countryside and try to get out for long walks as much as I can!
Christmas is my ABSOLUTE favourite time of year… it’s not just the lights, the presents and the food- it’s also my birthday on Christmas Eve! I feel really lucky having a birthday then as it means I get to spend time with all of my family and everyone is usually in a very good mood.
At home I really love cooking (and eating), watching horror movies, and looking after my little nieces and nephew.
Here’s a little cutey Alba- she’s only 1! This photo made me laugh loads because she got stuck under a chair whilst she was learning to crawl (backwards!)
If you’d like to answer some of the questions below it might help me get to know you better, so without thinking too much, answer them and send them to me at: email@example.com
See you soon!
My name is: _______________
1. If you had the choice would you rather be able to fly or be invisible?
2. Would you rather live in a really hot country like Spain, or a really cold country, like Sweden?
3. If you could have ANY job when you grew up, what would it be and why?
4. Tell me one interesting fact about yourself.
5. Tell me one thing you’re really good at, or one thing you’re really proud of.
6. Write down one thing you’re looking forward to going back to school for.
Hello the future Year 5C!
As our usual transition day in school has been taken away from us, I’ve put together just a few words to tell you all about me!
I’ve put together a ‘Passport to Year 5’ document for you to complete and email to me at firstname.lastname@example.org so I can learn a bit more about you all too. Miss Kan and I are looking forward to September when (hopefully!) we’ll all be back in school.
If you’ve got any questions about Year 5, please send me a message on the Year 5C blog or send me an email and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can! We have lots to look forward to and I hope you’re looking forward to next year as much as we are!
I moved to Manchester from Blackpool only last year with the future Mrs Pennington. My parents still live in Blackpool, as well as my brother, and I like to visit them as much as I can - I’ve missed them lots during lockdown!
The thing I miss most about Blackpool is walking along the promenade by the sea. I’m sure you know just how nice being on the beach is when we go to St. Annes each year, so I always make sure I try and get onto the beach when we’re home!
When I’m not in school, I love nothing more than watching live sport - I’m not even fussy about what sport it is! I support the best football team in the world - Blackpool, but my main sport is Cricket. I played for my local team in Blackpool, South Shore, before I moved to Manchester, and I have gone to Old Trafford Cricket Ground to watch Lancashire play. I also enjoy watching Sale Sharks play Rugby and Manchester Thunder play Netball. I once watched the England National Netball team play in Manchester!
What are your hobbies and interests?
I miss my family, but someone else who I miss is my girlfriend’s dog, George. He is a brown Cocker Spaniel who loves having his belly rubbed, eating chicken and going on journeys in the car!
Do you have any pets? Or are there any pets you have missed seeing during lockdown?
Miss Kan and I are very much looking forward to teaching you next year! We’ve got so much to look forward to! This year, we went to Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre, visited a World War I memorial at Heaton Park, made our own pizzas and started to take part in Festival!
We hope you all have a lovely summer holiday!
See you soon!
Mr Pennington & Miss Kan
Well well well....when you all thought you had got rid of me! I AM BACK!! hahaha!
I am absolutely delighted to be teaching you again in Year 5. It makes me so happy that when we go back to school in September we are in the same room and we are all together again.
We can reminisce about the past year and this will be a brilliant start for us to get going with our year 5 learning.
We are so lucky we are sticking together and I can't wait to see you all.
Don't forget to have a wonderful summer holiday, come back with happy memories and as I always say, READ, READ, READ!!! Haha!
Miss Stoker :)
I'm Mr Dodd and I'm the teacher in 6C and work alongside the super Mrs Shackleton! We love teaching in our class and everyone is made to feel safe and welcome and we always try and have fun whilst working hard.
I live in Manchester and love playing the guitar. One of my favourite songs to play with the class is Yellow Submarine. I enjoy going on holiday with my friends and have been to lots of amazing cities around Europe. My favourite two are Berlin and Barcelona. I love walking in the hills and have a particular love for the sea.
I love every sport and as you probably already know, I'm a huge Manchester City fan! I can't wait to start teaching you all next year and welcome you all to the year 6 family!
Hello Year 5L!
This is a very unusual transition to Year 6 but I'm very pleased to say that I will be your teacher next year and Mrs Shackleton will be your teaching assistant.
I'm looking forward to September and hope you are too, especially after being away from school for so long! We're really lucky next year to have a brand new classroom! We will be based in the old art room and also the downstairs classroom; I'm really excited to see our new Year 6 spaces. If you have any questions or just want to say hello you can send me a blog message or an email at email@example.com.
See you all soon! Mrs White :)
