Listen to our KS2 children sing their French song.
International Languages Day
Some of Reception trying some French food
Year 2 have been practising French greetings for European Languages Day!
In 3C, we were practicing our French greetings. We learned how to say ‘hello’ and ask each other what our names are and ask how we are feeling. We used our new knowledge to create speech bubbles and flags to celebrate International Languages Day!
Some Year 4 children revised some previous learning by going to the ‘Crab Lane Bakery’ and asking for some foods in French! Très bien!
Children across the whole of the school have been taking part in language learning this week.
The theme was 'Jeux et Chansons' (Games and Songs)
Children were taking part in different activities to help consolidate the topics they have learnt.
C'était chouette!
It was great!
Here's a sample of some of our super conversations in French from Year 2M this afternoon and a fun numbers song that we all love to sing!
We managed to cover numbers from 1-10, hello / goodbye, asking how people are and also introducing ourselves (my name is ... )
Year 6J
Can I design and make a French game?
Today, we used our knowledge we had built up learning French numbers and with our shoulder partners, we designed and made a game based on this. We can't wait to test our games in our French session next week!
