Relationship & Sex Education (RSE)
RSE is a statutory part of the primary school curriculum, which means that we have a duty to deliver it to our pupils. This is something Crab Lane has already been doing for a number of years and you can see an overview of what we teach below, the content of our units, as well as our policy.
Some of our sessions in Y4, Y5 and Y6 are taught in single-sex groups. This is to support the children's understanding of intimate health and to ensure maximum curriculum time is given to the health needs that are most relevant.
